When reviewing all the ideas from our individual and group brain storm, we had to consider each topic of ideas and what elements were in each idea.
When looking over these ideas, we talked a lot about bullying we thought-through how much it can affect/change people for the worst or better. Everyday people are bullied and no one person deals with a situation the same, some people may turn to violence, may just bury their head in the sand and not actually tell anyone what is going on/how they are feeling, some may turn to alcohol or drugs, there are many more endings for a victim of bullying.
When looking over the whole of the bullying part of our brainstorm, we contemplated what exactly we could display the victim leading to do. We looked at drugs, we examined how exactly we could make that work. Discussions were done, deciding that drugs will be a good way to lead the way of a bullying victim by considering the fact that not everyone is involved with drugs it would not just be a typical ending to a short film about bullying, also we thought that bullying and drugs are two topics that are very do-able in a short film time frame.
Short films are all based on moments, so what if in that moment the bully found/bought drugs, could we leave it as an open ending were the audience would really have to think about it? Yes, we could. Basing it all of these two topics could be a real effective way to really extend someone's thinking before they bully someone, the audience can consider how bad that person is feeling to lead them to something as serious as drugs. Everyone has bad days, so filming just a boy or girl crying in their room seems to be too generic for a short film that we would like to stand out from the others
